Thank-you Selma.

I have pondered for so long on this, I felt I had to share.

Once spoken, words cannot be recaptured. When their sound enters our ears, their vibration resonates through every cell of our body. When we listen, our bodies internalize their meaning.

We can only guess the effects such negative vibrations running through our bodies cause us.

In the Messages from Water, Masaru Emoto (1943–2014) delved into the effect of words on water. He made an experiment whereby he adhered papers with beautiful and ugly words on jars containing the purest of water. Using a unique technique he developed, he discovered that the water in each jar created sublime or hideous crystals — depending on the word pasted on to each jar.

Since our bodies are made up of 70% water, we have to wonder the effect that the vibrations of deleterious words reverberating through each of our cells have.

While I cannot prove it, I am certain many illnesses start with words that should have never been spoken.

I compare hurting words to piercing blades that cut the spirit. The wounds- big or small- they cause will eventually heal. However, the scars they leave behind will never banish.

Today is a good day to be mindful of that which we say to one another.
